Congratulations to everyone who tested on Friday night at the Shaolin Center in Marietta! And, thank you to Elder Master Gary Grooms for conducting the testing. There are now three new 5th degree sashes in the internal arts: Associate Master Ken Zielinski, Associate Master Diana Rixom and Associate Master Darryl Wright. From Highland Martial Arts, we had Adam Dyer testing to 3rd black belt, Ernest Colbert testing to 2nd black sash and Stephen King and Rebecca Sealand testing to 1st black sash. Excellent job by all!

In addition to the formal testing, several students received teaching promotions including from Highland Martial Arts: Ernest Colbert and Daniel Chang were awarded teaching certifications and Adam Dyer was awarded Sifu status. Congratulations!

After the testing and the awards, Master Reid and his senior students gave an outstanding demonstration. Watch the youtube video here. This was followed by a talk by Elder Master Grooms on “Conditioning, Explosive Training and Habits of Success” in which Master Gary shared his training philosophy and program for physical fitness and conditioning.
